<x-flowed>Dear Friends:

I would like to bring to your attention a new English language
reference on the Jews of Bukovina:

Stambrook, Fred. 2003. The Golden Age of the Jews of Bukovina,
1880-1914. published by the Center for Austrian Studies, University
of Minnesota (USA). 20 pages plus appendix. Working Paper 03-2.

Some of you might remember seeing Professor Stambrook's presentation
on the history of the Jews of Bukovina at the Intl. Conference on
Jewish Genealogy, July, 2002, held in Toronto.

The easiest way to obtain copies is to download the 'pdf' file from
the following web site:

http://www.cas.umn.edu/workpape.htm

(To learn more about the Center for Austrian Studies, start here:

If you prefer having a hard copy, you can obtain one as follows:

Residents of the United States -
Mail your request for Working Paper 03-2, plus a check for Three
Dollars drawn on a U.S. Bank payable to "Center for Austrian Studies
of the Univ. of Minnesota", to:

The Center for Austrian Studies
314 Social Sciences Building
267 19th Avenue South
Minneapolis, MN 55455 USA

Residents of other countries:
follow the directions above, except the check should be for $4.00 and
must still be drawn on a U.S. bank.

(As you see, it's easiest to simply download, print, read the pdf
file on the web site.)

Warmest always,

Bruce
